ATMA or AIMS Test for Management Admission is a national level entrance test conducted by AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools). It is a single-window test for admission to various Post Graduate (PG) programs like MBA, PGDM, MMS.
ATMA is a computer-based test that consists of 180 objective questions. The test is framed to evaluate the students based on their verbal, quantitative and reasoning skills. Each question carries one mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer. The candidates have 3 hours to solve 6 sections, with each section being allotted a time limit of 30 minutes. Broadly, there are three main sections, namely:
- Analytical Reasoning Skills
- Verbal Skills
- Quantitative Skills
The exam result is declared shortly after it is conducted. The scorecard displays your sectional and overall percentile in ATMA. ATMA score is valid for one year from the particular exam date. Most MBA colleges have a cut off in the range of 70-95 percentile. Once you are shortlisted based on your percentile, you are called for further selection processes- Essay Writing Test, Group Discussion/Exercise and Personal Interview.
Any candidate with a Bachelor's degree from a UGC recognized university/college or CA can apply for the exam. Further, final year students are also eligible for ATMA.
