The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) announced a New & Revised Academic Calendar for academic session 2020-21.
New Delhi: On Friday, July 3, the controller body of technical & professional institutes, AICTE announced new and revised academic calendar for the academic session 2020-21 for PGDM and PGCM.
Countrywide lakhs of students are enrolled every year for professional courses like-PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) and PGCM (Post Graduate Certificate in Management Courses).
According to the new calendar issued by the technical body, the classes for the existing students of PGDM and PGCM courses in all its affiliated institutions will start from July 15 and for freshers it will start from August 16.
While the academic session and teaching process, for freshers and lateral-entry students (those who seek admission via lateral entry into the second year directly) will commence from September 15.
This modification has been introduced in the 62nd council meeting of the regulator body, the last date for awarding affiliation to an institution is announced to be July 15.
Ass per fresh calendar, the deadline for the first-round counseling is August 30; and admission/allotment of seats/second-round counseling is September 10.
The last date for admitting a student is September 15; thereafter no students can be admitted.
The last date for cancellation of seats with the full refund has been fixed to August 5.
While students who seek admission in open or distance modes can be admitted between August 16 and February 15, 2020.
