Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a national level computer-based entrance test administered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in around 80 cities across India to grant admission to students in undergraduate programs such as  Management, Mass Communication, Law, Economics, Engineering, Design, Liberal Arts, Computer Studies and Culinary Arts, offered by Symbiosis institutes/SIU affiliated institutes. A total of four Symbiosis Entrance Tests are there viz. Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE), SET-General and Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED).SET Exam takes place in dual sessions viz. Morning session from 9:30 am to 12 pm for Law & Design test and Evening session from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm for General & Engineering test.

SET 2021 Eligibility Criteria 

  • Qualification in class 12th or equivalent examinations in an appropriate stream from a recognised university or board with at least 50% aggregate for general category candidates and 45% aggregate for SC/ST category candidates. 
  • Class XII candidates or students waiting for class XII result, provided they submit a qualifying certificate
  • A student who has qualified class XII or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board, provided they secure an equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities).


  • Indian nationals confirm eligibility to take this entrance exam.
  • NRIs, PIO and OCI are also eligible to take this test.

Note: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects in standard 12th for the candidates who wish to appear for SITEEE 2021.

SET 2021: Admission Process 

Step 1: Fill the Application Form for SET 2021

  • Registration: Enter the details like Name, DOB, Gender, Nationality, Mobile Number, Email ID, etc → Click on the “submit” button.
  • Enter the One Time Password (OTP): Submit the OTP received on the registered mobile number and check your username and password sent in a confirmation mail on registered email.
  • Log-in & Verify the Details: Login with the username &  password → Verify the details entered in the application form → Click on “Confirm”.
  • Payment of Application Fee: Pay the application fee of INR 1750/- online using Net Banking/PayU/Debit/Credit Card.
  • Fill the Academic Details: After the application fee payment, applicants will be redirected to fill the academic details in the application form. 
  • Submit: Click on “Submit” button 

Step 2: Download the SET 2021 Application Form

Step 3: Download the Admit Card- Hall Ticket

SET Admit cards for the eligible candidates are released online by the concerned authorities of SET. The authority activates the link to download the  admit card on the official website. Applicants can download the same by entering valid information and application number. SET Admit Card and photo ID proof are mandatory documents to appear in the SET exam.

Step 4: Appear for SET 2021

SET will be held in IBT mode at various exam centres throughout the country. 

Step 5: SET 2021 Result Announcement

SET 2021 results will be announced on the official website of SET  University after the exam. Each institute will publish their own cut off after the declaration of SET 2021 results. The qualified candidates will be called for the PI/WAT round. 

Step 6: Participate in the SET 2021 WAT/PI

The candidate will have to participate in the SET 2021 WAT/PI round for which they will have to carry all the important documents in original along with the photocopy. Admission will be offered based on candidate’s overall performance in SET and WAT/PI

Symbiosis SET 2021 Application Form

Application form for SET 2021 is to be filled online (only) on the official website – set-test.org The application process of SET 2021 will begin in the last week of January 2021. The candidates will have to apply for SET 2021 in online mode where they will have to fill the personal, academic and communication  details and upload the required documents like scanned copies of their recent passport size photograph, sign, etc. The details must be correctly filled and verified by the candidate as any correction will not be allowed to make after the last date of correction. The application window will remain open from the last week of January, 2021 to April, 2021.

  • Step 1. Go to the official website- set-test.org
  • Step 2. Click on the ‘Register Now’ option available on the page’s upper-right side.
  • Step 3. Click on ‘New Registration’ → Enter the personal details, academic details, etc, choose the Test Center → Upload your Photograph.
  • Step 4. Make the online payment of  using debit or credit card or net banking.
  • Step 5. Click on 'Submit'.
  • Step 5. Save the receipt confirmation page that will pop up after the payment and take its print out for the future use.

For one session, a Demand Draft (DD) of INR 1750/- is required, however, to appear for both the sessions, a DD of INR 3500/- needs to be submitted.

SET 2021 Admit Card- Hall Ticket

After the completion of the application process, SET 2021 Admit Cards are released by the conducting authorities and are downloadable from the SET official website by logging into the registered account. Two different admit cards are released on the website for two different sessions, so the candidate needs to carry the respective while appearing for SET.

Symbiosis SET 2021 Counselling

Symbiosis SET 2021 Counselling is anticipated to be conducted in June 2021 and the candidates whose names will be listed in the merit list will only be qualified to take part in Symbiosis SET 2021 Counselling by giving their physical presence at the reporting centre.

SET Counselling Process 2020

SET counselling will comprise Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds

  1. SET 2021 Personal Interaction/Interview (PI) – This round will evaluate the competency of the candidates in the areas of General awareness, Extracurricular activities, Academics & candidate’s interests, communication skills & personality.
  2. SET 2021 Written Ability Test (WAT) – Candidates will be evaluated based on PAT (Picture Association Test) and a short essay on any current topic given by the group of evaluators to the candidates to write. In addition, some of the subjective-type questions on the topic will also be given to the candidates to answer.

The SET 2021 counselling process for admission in the Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication [SCMC], Pune, will comprise Studio Test also in addition to the PI/WAT rounds.

No, another session can not be added after the submission of Symbiosis SET Application Form. For this, one needs to re-register and re-fill the application form.

Is the application fee refundable on request if I know I will not be able to take the SET 2021 due to some inevitable circumstance?

No, the application fee is non-refundable and any such request is not entertained by the conducting body. 

However, the application fee is refunded back to the registered candidates in case of cancellation of the exam.

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:
