Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test, also known as LPUNEST is a national level computer-based examination conducted twice every year by Lovely Professional University (LPU) across 200 cities all over India. This examination is used as a base for admission into various undergraduate programs like Agriculture, Law, MBA, etc. It is also treated as a scholarship program providing scholarships of up to Rs.5 lacs, according to candidates’ performance. There’s no negative marking in this exam of 150 minutes comprising 50 questions. 

The university organises LPUNEST via online mode for each of these programmes separately. The exam has two fold benefits as it acts like the Entrance Test  while playing its role of Scholarship Test. The application forms of LPUNEST 2020 for Phase I and Phase II are released in online mode. Once the application form for the exam is filled, the candidates need to book their slots to become eligible to get the admit cards. On the completion of the examination, the qualified candidates will be called to participate in the LPUNEST 2020 counselling process based on their ranks, programme preference and availability of total seats.

LPUNEST 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to comply with the following criterias before they apply for LPUNEST 2021:-

  • Only Indian Nationals can apply.
  • Candidates have completed or are appearing in 2021 for the 12th standard board’s examination from any recognized board.
  • For admission in B.Tech, Integrated B.Tech - M.Tech & Integrated B.Tech - MBA, candidates should at least have 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as their compulsory subjects.
  • For admission in B.Tech Biotechnology, candidates should at least have 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and English & Maths/Biology/Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects.
  • For admission in B.Tech Chemical Engineering (CHE), B.Tech (Petroleum), candidates should at least have 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths as their compulsory subjects.

LPUNEST 2021: Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to students based on their performance in following categories:-

  • Eligibility Qualification – 12th boards for UG programs and graduation for PG programs.
  • Recognized National Level exams like CAT, MAT, GATE, etc.

Scholarship Brackets

For every category mentioned, there are 3 brackets (Bracket 1, 2 and 3). Each bracket has its own specific criterias having their respective sequences. Priority wise Bracket 1 comes 1st, then Bracket 2 and then Bracket 3.

Scholarship Phases

There are 4 phases defined by LPU – each phase having a time-period of 3 months. Here the timing of the admission plays a crucial role. It’s like a first-come-first-serve basis where the maximum number of scholarships is awarded in phase 1. By the time they reach phase 4, none of the seats are vacant for scholarships.

Eligibility Qualification

  • Bracket 1 – Students with marks % of >95 fall in Bracket 1. 
  • Bracket 2 – Students scores ranging from 90-94.99% fall in bracket 2.
  • Bracket 3 – Students scores ranging between 80-89.99% fall in bracket 3.

Note: For Lateral Entry Programs, in addition to Eligibility Qualification, Scholarship will also be offered on the basis of qualification previous to Eligibility qualification.

LPUNEST 2021: Syllabus

  • All the questions for MBA exam will be asked from the subjects English, General Awareness and General Aptitude.
  • For B.Tech, the syllabus is so similar to that of the 12th standard syllabus which will contain the subjects like physics, chemistry, English, Mathematics/biology.
  • In the Law exam, the topics will be based on Quantitative and Logical Aptitude, Legal Reasoning, Legal Reasoning and English.

LPUNEST 2021: Application Process

The registration process for LPUNEST2021 is expected to start in the month of September 2020. The official notification for the availability of the application form and commencement of the registration process will be released on the official website of the university. The entire process is conducted through different modes viz. online, offline and semi-online. Applicants should keep the following documents handy while proceeding with the registration process:

  1. A valid Email ID and an active Mobile Number.
  2. Scanned images of Applicant’s Photograph, Signature and Left-Hand Thumb Impression (as per specifications).
  3. Mark sheet of Class 10th.
  4. Income Certificate
  5. Category Certificate (if claiming reservation)
  6. Community Certificate

Steps to fill Online Application Form for LPUNEST2021:

Step 1: Register using a valid email id and active mobile number on the official website- www.lpu.in. A system-generated unique Application Number will be allotted to each applicant.

Step 2: Candidates need to re-login to the LPUNEST application portal using the system-generated Application ID and password to fill the LPUNESTApplication Form. Details like qualification, contact, category and reservation information will have to be filled mandatorily in the application form.

Step 3: Upload the scanned images of your recent photograph, specimen signature, and left thumb impression.

Step 4: You can pay the Application Fee online using Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking or offline through a Demand Draft. The applicant has to send the DD alongside the recent passport size photo and the signature to the address which is given here.

Step 5: Once the payment is done and application form is filled and reviewed, candidates must get prints of the form for record. In case of offline application, the hard copy of the form has to be sent after taking care of the following below-mentioned points:

  1. Affix your recent photograph of dimensions 3.5 x 4.5 cm in the designated position.
  2. Place your left thumb impression in the provided space.
  3. Sign the form and also get it signed by your parents/ guardian.
  4. Get the form attested by either the Head of your school/ college or by a Gazetted Officer.

Step 6: Post the application form print out, along with all supporting documents.

LPU NEST 2021: Slot Booking

LPU NEST slot booking will begin just after the completion of the registration process. It will commence from the initial week of December 2020 when the candidates will have to select the exam date and time. For schedule II, slot booking will start from the 1st week of March 2021. It will be mandatory for the applicants to book their slots to receive the admit cards for examination.

LPUNEST 2021: Admit Card

LPUNEST2021 Admit cards will be issued via online mode and will be downloadable from the official website. The admit card will not be delivered to the candidates via fax or post or any other offline medium. Students will need to download the admit card from the official website by entering the details asked. LPUNEST 2021 admit card is a mandatory document to carry along with the valid photo while appearing for the exam. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall without the admit card. LPUNEST 2021 admit cards will comprise the details about the candidate as well as the exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam centres, exam guidelines etc. Candidates must keep their admit card safe till the completion of the admission procedure.

LPUNEST 2021: Results

To check the results candidates need to check in to the official website of LPU according to their respective exams. Lovely Professional University will notify the results in the last week of January 2021 for the Schedule One and in the last week of April 2021 for schedule two through online mode on the official website. All the candidates will need to check the result by filling their login details, viz., application number and DOB. The candidates will be able to access their merit ranks and scorecard, based on which they will be invited to participate in the counselling process.

LPUNEST 2021: Counseling

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the campus where Counselling will be held for admission into different programmes offered by the university. After the allocation of seats, the candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 10,000 to confirm the seats allocated to them. Admissions at LPU are offered through counselling based on the scores secured by the aspirant in LPUNEST 2021. 

  • After declaration of result, counseling period starts.
  • Counseling process is to be conducted online where students will be allotted seats.
  • Candidates can participate in the admission procedure on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam and Interview.
  • Candidates need to choose their courses and upload the required documents.
  • After verification, candidates will be allotted a seat.

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA has released the admit card for KMAT 2020 for the eligible candidates who applied for the examination by filling the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. The admit card has been released via online mode on the official website of KPPGCA on 27th October 2020. 

Successful candidates need to download their admit card from the official website i.e. kmatindia.com. using their login credentials.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. This year, the examination will be conducted on 29th October 2020 for admission to management institutes in the state.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details.
