BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) or BITS Admission Test is a computer-based national-level entrance exam organised by BITS Pilani once in a year. BITSAT lays a foundation for entrance to engineering degree programs for undergraduates or Integrated First Degree Programs offered at BITS campuses in Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa. These programs are government-approved, certified by the University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other authoritative bodies.

BITSAT 2021: Sections and Marking Scheme

BITSAT 2021 will offer a choice to aspirants to opt for Exam Center, Day and exam slot among the two slots available. The exam paper of BITSAT 2021 will consist of four parts - Part I – Physics, Part II – Chemistry, Part III – Maths/Biology, Part VI – English Proficiency & LR and will carry 150 MCQs in total. Each right answer will fetch you 3 marks whereas each wrong will snatch 1 mark due to negative marking concept in BITSAT.

BITSAT 2021 Admission Process

BITSAT 2021 Admission Process can be understood through the below-mentioned five steps:

Step 1: BITSAT 2021 Application Form Filling

  • BITSAT 2021 application form will have to be filled online on their official website - bitsadmission.com
  • Payment of Application fee of INR 3300 and INR 2800 for males and females, respectively, for the BITSAT 2021 Exam to complete the application process.
  • Selection of three most preferred Test cities to take the BITSAT 2021 exam. 

Step 2: BITSAT 2021 Slot Booking 

  • Allotment of a Test Center i.e. one of the three chosen test cities by the candidate in the application form.
  • BITSAT 2021 slot booking from two slots - Morning slot or Evening slot, by the candidate on the official website of BITSAT. 

Step 3: BITSAT 2021 Admit Card Download 

  • The download of BITSAT 2021 Admit Card- an imperative document to appear for BITSAT 2021.

BITSAT 2021: Application Form

BITSAT 2021 Application Forms are likely to be released in the third week of December, 2021. Application forms for BITSAT 2021 will be downloadable from the official website and will have to be submitted online. The forms seek the academic records along with personal details and the scanned copies of some important documents which need to be submitted online. Documents which should be uploaded in the application form are as follows:

  • Applicant’s recent & coloured passport size photo in .jpg file format.
  • Applicant’s signature in .jpg file format.
  • Academic records, degree and diploma certificate.

BITSAT 2021: Admit Card

The admit card of BITSAT 2021 will be issued by the conducting authority in the second week of April, 2021 via online mode to the eligible and successful applicants who will duly fill the application form and pay the prescribed application fee before the last date of application form submission and application fee payment. No hard copy or soft copy of BITSAT 2021 will be posted or mailed individually to the applicants. Students will need to download the admit card from the official website by entering the login credentials as mail ID, username, application number and password. BITSAT 2021 admit card is a mandatory document to carry along with the valid photo while appearing for the exam. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall without the admit card.  2021 admit cards will comprise the details about the candidate as well as the exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam centres, exam guidelines and all other important instructions.

BITSAT 2021: Exam Pattern

BITSAT 2021 exam will be conducted via online mode as a computer based test in which the candidate will have to attempt MCQs in a duration of 3 hours. A total of 4 sections containing multiple choice questions will be there in the exam paper.

BITSAT 2021: Result

The result of BITSAT 2021 will be announced in online mode in the last week of May, 2021 on the official website. To access the result of BITSAT 2021, the candidates will have to fill the login credentials in the login window. BITSAT 2021 Result 2021 will comprise details like candidates’ name, roll number, score obtained, etc.  As the BITSAT 2021 will be conducted in different slots, the conducting body will keep publishing the scores of the respective slots side by side. The final BITSAT 2021 result will be published later in the merit list format after the submission of 10+2 marks by the candidates. BITS will release two merit lists. BITSAT 2021 result will showcase the names of those participants only who will be eligible to take admission in various campuses of BITS. Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details.
